Q: How do I access manual camera controls?
A: ElectroSpotmatic provides manual controls for ISO, shutter speed and focus. These controls appear as sliders controlled by the camera control on the side of your phone and buttons in an arc onscreen. To access the sliders, press the camera control button slightly. To access the onscreen controls, tap one of the buttons to expand it into rotary control you can manipulate. Rotate the control to change values and see the results onscreen immediately. Touch inside the control to collapse it again.
Q: Why can't I save photos to my Photo Library?
A: Ensure you've granted Photo Library access permissions. Go to iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Photos > ElectroSpotmatic and select "Add Photos Only" or "All Photos".
Q: How do I enable location tagging for photos?
A: Location services can be enabled in the app settings or through iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > ElectroSpotmatic. Choose "While Using App" for location tagging.
Q: The app crashes when I try to take a photo. What should I do?
A: Try restarting the app and your device. Ensure you have sufficient storage space and that all permissions are granted. If the issue persists, contact our support team with your device model and iOS version.
Q: Can I use ElectroSpotmatic with external lenses or accessories?
A: ElectroSpotmatic works with the built-in camera system. External lenses and accessories may work depending on their compatibility with iOS camera APIs, but we don't provide specific support for third-party hardware.
Q: How do I reset the app to default settings?
A: You can reset app settings by deleting and reinstalling the app, or by going to iOS Settings > General > iPhone Storage > ElectroSpotmatic > Offload App, then reinstalling.

Common Issues and Solutions

Camera Not Working

  • Check that camera permissions are enabled in iOS Settings
  • Ensure no other apps are using the camera
  • Restart the app and try again
  • Restart your device if the problem persists

Photos Not Saving

  • Verify Photo Library permissions are granted
  • Check available storage space on your device
  • Ensure you're not in Airplane Mode
  • Try saving to a different album

App Performance Issues

  • Close other apps to free up memory
  • Update to the latest iOS version
  • Update ElectroSpotmatic to the latest version
  • Restart your device

Location Services Not Working

  • Enable Location Services in iOS Settings
  • Grant location permission to ElectroSpotmatic
  • Check that you're not in a location with poor GPS signal
  • Ensure Location Services are enabled system-wide
